Just because I haven't noticed a large problem doesn't mean it isn't real. One possibility with the heavier recoiling guns and reloaded ammo though- if the bullet's neck tension isn't great enough or if they are not crimped, could the bullets be changing seating depth after getting rammed forward in the magazine?? I don't know- just bringing it up. Modifying the box would work with the caveat you mentioned about feeding.
