Since the 175 is not available any more and the cost of the Barnes bullets I switched to the 225X. For general practice I shoot the 215 Sierra BT's. I have used the Sierra's on Caribou and did not have any problems. I would have no problem using the Sierra's on Black bears. As with everything else it is the shot placement that really counts.
