I'd been hearing about this with growing curiosity, so thanks for posting the article.

As a 40-year user of the 308, 30 years with the 358, and somewhere in between for the 243, I have long contemplated making up a 338-308 on a left handed Carl Gustaf short action I have squirreled away.  Now maybe I'll hang on to it a while longer and see what kind of factory rifles come available for this new round.

If it can offer the terminal geewhiz of the 358 and a flatter trajectory, how can you go wrong?
