I have a savage 300wsm. I bought savage as they make lefties. I don't trat it quite as bad as BBear, but I don't take real good care of it either. I really like the gun. Just like BBear, it shoots around a MOA. It has the savage muzzle brake, and since I'm a wimp when it comes to kick, I sure like that at the range. The only thing I don't like is mine isn't a hinged plate and it is difficult to get 3 rounds in the mag. I can do it, but the rifle isn't really quite wide enough for 3. Not sure if the hinged plate will make a difference.
I've killed several bou, and 2 small moose with it. It will do what any other rifle will do if you use it properly.
