[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Barnes X bullet loads Posted by mauserboy on Feb 24 2006 If you are using the Barnes loading data for the X bullet in that caliber, you should start with the suggested starting loads. If they only have maximum loads, which would surprize me, then I personally would back down 10% to start. Besides it being the safe way to work up loads, it would let you find the most accurate load as you work it up. I know the solid copper X bullets do create somewhat higher bullets then traditional lead core bullets, unless it is the newer bullet with grooves cut into the surface to reduce friction.
