LOL (French soldier = beaten)!!! Good play on words.  In fact if it is true a French soldier coined the word, then thru induction reasoning we can conclude the first Bautte was only dropped one time by him!!!

Anyhow......

Murphy, I have read your posts many, many times.  I lurk silently but feel like I am friends with many here.  

Yes I may be interested in selling it.  I have the factory box end still.  It was purchased in Alaska by a Air Force officer who wanted to hunt.  He has only shot < 20 rounds thru it.  He even gave me the left-overs of the original box of bullets he started out with.

It has the sights you mentioned with a Leopold 1x4 scope.  Unless the scope is set to power 3, the front sight can be seen in it a little.  I could still shoot it, but being as picky as I am, I would probably have the front sight remove if I used the scope.

I am sure it is a factory barrel uncut at 18.5 inches.  As I said I have the box end that says it and says it is a Finnbear Bautte.

Whatchya think?
