I've used them...
Posted by Doc on Jan 30 2006
Sheephunter,
Don't know about the Remington factory loads.  I hand-loaded some 180 grain Sciroccos a few years back for my .30-06, and I took several caribou with them.  They performed very well in high wind.  Great penetration at 100 to 200 yards (clean through) with a good sized exit hole.  Never recovered a bullet or any part of a bullet.  I was so impressed with them that I took them on a black bear hunt with the same rifle...but didn't see any shooters.  I recently read that there is a second generation Scirocco that's out now, which is supposed to be even better.  I'd still be using Sciroccos today, except I discovered Barnes Triple-shock X bullets....which shoot more accurately for some reason in my rifles than the Sciroccos.
Good luck
Doc
