[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Tikka Recoil Posted by AlaskaCub on Jan 30 2006 My buddy has a Tikka T3 Lite in 338 and it kicks like a horse. For many shots at the range he puts a LimbSaver slip on recoil pad over the factory one or after 20 shots your torn up. But for hunting he doesn't use it. I love the gun but my Ruger with a Hogue Overmolded stock is much more of a pleasure to shoot. I can shoot 40-50 rounds without any problem with recoil. But for climbing all over the mountains at 7 3/4 pounds with scope its easier to carry. At crunch time the recoil is never a factor. Previous: the right recoil pad? Rifle Weight in stock?
