I am not sure about others but for what the 3x cost how can anyone afford to do much shooting? In a normal year I will shoot between 1000 and 1500 rounds, and this does not include the rimfire that I shoot. Yes the performance in the field of the Barnes bullets is very good but trying to find a good load can be costly. At this time I do use Barnes in our 243, 308, 30-06 and 338's for hunting. Other wise I have been using a lot of Sierra bullets both for how well they shoot and for the low cost.
