366 AK
Posted by Kabluewy on Jan 26 2006
Facts:
Barnes is discontinuing the X bullet in favor of the TSX bullet, and Barnes presently has no 358 in 250 gr.

Also the Woodleigh 358 bullet is 310 gr., not 320 gr.in 358.

Furthermore, most certainly the .358 Norma will handle the 275 - 310 gr. bullets just fine, with the fastest twist rate available, 10". Most rifles in 358 bore work well with the common weight bullets, 225 -250 gr,with a twist rate of 12" to 16".

I like the 30 caliber, but I haven't been called a goon lately.

The 338 gathered attention for good reason. I like mine, it's been fun to work with.

It is a shame when lots of game is lost regardless of caliber --- period.....

I have cut a lot of firewood - - does that mke me a logger, or does shooting deer with a 22LR qualify one for that title?

Reboring is a technology which has been soundly replaced by simply rebarreling. The outcome is much more predictable. As I understand the industry, reboring is best used when someone wants to save the original barrel for some good reason.
