That leads to a related subject that's been on my mind: does anyone know of a good sling that is comfortable and facilitates quick access to the shotgun of rifle?  I carry a 338 for bear protection when we're hiking, although I'll probably go with a lighter shotgun this spring.  The rifle is always trying to slip off my shoulder and is a little awkward.  

I also bring a rifle when we go out on dogsledding trips in the winter (only two dogs to tow the kids no serious mushing here, my wife and I are both on skis) for a last resort in case of an encounter with a grumpy moose.  My wife doesn't like the rifle in the sled with the kids and she's probably right. Even though it's out of their reach and there's never anything in the chamber, it would better if it was on my person, but I need a better sling  to make it practical.  Has anyone tried a biathelon rig...is there such a thing?  Thanks!....Louis
