Absolutely makes sense, but I hate to think something is worn after only 4 months.  I am taking it back to Gander tomorrow morning, where I bought it and they do have a certified gunsmith.  Although I still do have doubts and have my 7mm with 175 gr Trophy bonded bear claws as a back up.  I'm just very disappointed with Tikka so far.  Far cry from out of the box accuracy and dependability!
