I use the WWG rear peep(protected) and they work very well. They do not seem to be heavy at all or rather when I heft my rifle that I had them work over does not seem so. I know am awaiting for the XS Scout weaver rail/base and a LEUPOLD 2.5X Scout Scope and a set of TC Maxima QR rings. My eyes are playing "tricks" on me know and again so I opted for the foward mounted system to allow for "both" eye open on my shots. I did find my barrel to "bulge" in three places, so whether it is accepted or not I firelapped my barrel and quite the improvement and a joy to see my shots consistent(no fliers) and the barrel does not quickly get hot as before--something to consider.
