I have been shooting the truncated cone 225 grain bullet from Oregon Trail Bullets in both my Kimbers and they function just fine.  I would think either would work well in your wife's pistol.  Go to www.laser-cast.com and take a look.  I also load their 240 grain Keith style in my 44 special to about 950 fps.  Drop me a line if you want the load data.  Hope that helps.  Jim
