375 H&H bullets
Posted by Murphy on Jul 20 2005
Pigeon,
There are more bullets available for the 375 than any other caliber except maybe 30 caliber.
We can start with the Speer 235 grain semi-spitzer
An older Trophy Bonded BC 240 grain spitzer
A half dozen makers of the 250 grain spitzers and flat points
Then there is the... Nosler 260 grain spitzer
A half dozen makers of the 270 grain spitzers and flat point
And another Speer entry the 285 grain Grand Slam
And everyone makes a form of 300 grain spitzer or round nose or solid. And the Woodleigh 350 grain round nose
For Warthogs, I have used the 235 Speer, 240 Bear Claw, 260 Partition, 300 Swift A-frame. I have used the 270 Swift A-frame and on Impala, Kudu, Blue Wildebeast and Elk. I have used the Speer 235 the 270 Barnes X and the 260 Partition on Elk and the 300 Kodiak on African lions. All were one shot except the cats and that's because they were cats, and a bad shot I made and one particular bullet which didn't do what I thought it should do. Hogs are pretty tough, I'd use 250 grain and up. Keep in mind, a well placed 375 bullet will do everything in quickly. All the bullets are good.
Good shootin'.
