I have a friend that grew up in the village.  He got a 257 for his 12th birthday.  Turns out that is the best caliber for Alaska.  I know this because he's killed a moose, a caribou, a muskox and a seal with it.  
How many people shooting these fancy magnum calibers can claim a one shot kill on a seal?!
