First off i am not a expert at anything, and no caliber is stupid if you like it...My favorite rifle is a 375 with the barrel cut down to 20.5 inches with a 2.5-8 leupold. Where i live it is so brushy that the short barrel really comes in handy. this rifle will shoot under an inch with 270gr barnes. the thing ilike with the 375 is you can load it down to 210gr if you like or up to 300gr. I know plenty of people that use the 300 win mag and love it. its personal preference and i strongly beleive that you should use the biggest caliber you can shoot well whether thats a 270,300,338 or whatever...anyway i am sure some will disagree but thats my 2cents..
