To make the story short, I will bypass the details and get into the action: The bear was on top of him chewing his scalp off, but somehow he managed to pull his .44 magnum from the holster and shoot the big bear one time through the neck. The bullet blew a hole through one of the bear's arteries on the neck, and it died almost on top of him. He rolled his way out, and walked several miles to safety, bleeding profusely, but lived to tell the story. Previous: Bearguns and Skill....
