[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] rebarreling Posted by grizz106 on Jun 21 2005 who can rebarrel my MKII .06 into the .338-06 and do it in reasonable time. I do not want to send it out and it too seems like the wait on a return like that kind of work is anywhere from roughly 4-6wks. what about those bbls. I see barrels in Brownells if I recall, are they a good choice. Can I get it too be exact the thread and bore and the chamber be done by one who has the reamer if the .338-06 is not availbable as such? Does the receiver need to be in the hands of a barrel manu. to have the threads mated up to the barrel just right? I am aware of headspacing but is misunderstood on my part about the concern of gallin the threads if too tight or on the other hand too loose of fitting in threads. Ehat is the concern as I said about those "magazine" purchases? I reside approx 200 miles nnw of the "Golden Heart City" and can get to town tomorrow if need be. Next: 338-06 Rebarreling....
