I have the Tikka in 30-06 and I love it. I just bought it this spring and used it on a spring bear hunt, never saw a bear but carried it every day and weight was not an issue. If you want to invest a box of ammo, I'll meet you at the range and you can try it out. I can tell you that the gun is more accurate than I am.
