My son and I are planning a hunting trip in August of 2007 to hunt caribou on the north slope.  We are looking at getting a couple of new rifles for the trip and would like to get some opinions from the group.

1.  Blued barrel vs stainless - I have heard that stainless will rust just as a blued barrel will.

2.  Synthetic stock vs wooden - I have heard synthetic stocks can twist throwing off your shot.

We have some time and we are just trying to do our homework.  Thanks guys.
