Hi- Point
Posted by BIGWILLYHEELS on Apr 26 2005
I used to live in Ohio, where Hi- Point Firearms are made.  I have had their 9mm, 9mm carbine, and still have a 45ACP.  I also have a friend who still uses the 40 cal.  TRUE....you get what you pay for.  HOWEVER,  I did not pay over 200 bucks for any of them.  They a a little big, clunky, and not very pretty but my 45 ACP only jams when it gets hot or needs a good cleaning.  We put 300 rounds through my friends 40 cal in a single day last summer and had no jams, misloads, or misfires.  They are  a great CHEAP gun to get you buy, but I would never trust my life with it (my 454 cassull super redhawk takes care of that).  Also, you should not pay more than 125 bucks for a 9mm, 150 for the 40 or 45.
