[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] recoil Posted by calndux on Apr 21 2005 The recoil from only 5 or 6 rounds at a time are not the problem, nor is the amount of shoots required during hunting. I own numerous rifles...30-06 and up, but the big boys long range mags are my toys. I like to have my rifle where I know how many clicks it tacks for 100 or 1000 yards or anywhere in between. Computer programs only get you close, but I prefer to trust shooting with ammo to get the clicks and this is where the development of flinch comes in when you deal with a sub 9 lb rifle in 30-378 or 338 lapua. I know that my 376 or 375 which I believe to be the best all round alaska rifle caliber is all I need (I shoot it very well), but a guy has to have his toys.
