For Alaska it is going to be hard to replace the 338 win. I have a old mauser FN that has been my companion for years. When Win invented the 338 Win it was in a Model 70 called the Alaskan.

I have bought a 300 WSM over the 325 WSM due to better bullet selection but the 300 WSDM will never replace my 338 Win.
