I've never fired one, but my thinking is, in a rig I'd be willing to carry, which would be 9#'s and no muzzle brake, the recoil would be so severe that I couldn't shoot it accurately enough to take advantage of the long range potential.

My gun cabinet goes up to 500 Jeffrey, so I am familiar with recoil.  I think 30 caliber magnums top out what one can practically shoot in a long range rig that doesn't have too much recoil, or weigh too much.
