Don't mean to thow a wet blanket on your fire but the conversion would take more than just re-chambering.  The problems with the improved that we talked about will be there for an Ultra Mag also. The Ultra is an even bigger case, same length but larger in diameter and feeding  would be an even bigger problem. Mag capacity would be two rounds, most likely not three. Yes CFR is a good concept and if you like that type action, stick with it. Does Winchester chamber for the Ultra Mags? A complete Montana Rifle, stainless synthetic is about $1200. They have a great action with all the merits of the pre-64 in very strong action. CRF, Three position camming safety, mechanical ejection in stainless. You can get the bbl length and contour you want and you will be much happier with it. Save your money and use the H&H in the mean time. Keep shootin'.
