Like a couple of others on this thread said- the cheapest can of flat black spray paint is the least expensive, easiest way. Just wipe down the metal with alcohol or solvent to degrease and spray on a light coat of the flat black so it cuts the glare or covers to your liking. Get a few scratches during a hunt? Just spray a little more on! If you want to take it off later- use acetone or other solvent. Easy.
