Well is is an 8mm but the 325 is a short action, where as the 8mm is not. As for ballistics go, your looking pretty close to a .338 WM. I think its going to be a great caliber, just as the 8mm was. There are many advantages to a WSM cartrage. If you have a .338 and are looking to shave a bunch of weight this is the cartrage for you. Kimber will have the montana in .325 in about May. thats a sub 7lb rifle with alot of bite. I will be getting one as soon as I can get my mits on it.
