[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Too wet in SE Posted by Forestar on Jan 26 2005 I used muzzleloaders almost exclusively back East (as an alternative to smooth bore shotguns) for my big game hunting and had great success (many deer and one black bear). I have not used one in SE since I moved here -- it's just too darned wet most of the time. Although, with the new in-line rigs, weather is much less a factor than with more tradition designs. I have a TC Hawken in .54 cal and something I had custom made that is the equivalent of a .45-90. Lots more choices today than there were 10-20 years ago.
