[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] factory listings Posted by George on Jan 20 2005 pbolte, I think BR, Murphy, and DITBurbs all pretty much cover it. The factory listings for trajectories- short, long, etc., I think, are nothing more than arbitrary "sight in" guides for those not too familiar with such things. Who knows what criteria they use for the categories? For as long as I can remember something like 3 or 4 inches point-of-impact above or below sight line has been the "hold dead on" criteria listed for big game most folks hunt- deer. Of course, there would be a large difference between the plus or minus of the sight line, "hold dead on", listings between such critters as a 120 lb. whitetail and a 1200 lb. moose. That's why I think general factory guides like that are arbitrary to a degree. Previous: Guns & Ammo Annual, Petersen's Rifle Shooter Annua Ray Jan 22 2005 Next: Much more simple...
