I know some that use a .375 H&H for everything.  If I only had one rifle, in my personal opinion, it would be a .338 win mag.  There is a variety of loading available and if you handload, the variety increases giving you the option of lighter bullets for sheep.  It also gives a little bit of insurance for the big bears.  I do not own one, I use a 7mm mag or .375 H&H, depending on circumstances.
