Bear Defense
Posted by Matthew on Sep 12 2003
This doesn't have to do with hunting in Alaska but I hope you can help anyway. I will be doing some hiking, camping and whatnot in the Yellowstone area and would like advice on a good bear gun. I would like a pistol for backup but my shooting experience has been mainly limited to rifles and shotguns.
My first instinct is to avoid all conflict at all cost and I dislike having to kill anything uselessly, but if you try to eat me I tend to resist the idea rather strongly. (:
Thank You,
