I drew this hunt one time.  Had a great hunt - shot a record class caribou.  Did it all by myself.

If you relish the isea of packing 140 plus pounds of boned out meat, your gear, and 50# of cape and horns 10 miles just to get picked up and taken out, I would recommend it.  So you understand, I had to hike the equivalent of 50 miles to get 10.  It took me three loads to get the animal and my gear out (hike a mile, go back a mile and pick up another load, hike a mile, go back for another load, hike a mile), so 30 of those 50 miles of packing were with about 85 to 90# on my back.

If you wouldn't be willing to pack a big moose for 2 miles by yourself, I wouldn't bother with this permit.
