Check out the area past Murphy Dome, we use to bait down there for years and ALWAYS had bears on our baits on a consistent basis. Follow the road up to Murphy Dome, when you get near the top turn left and follow the road down going to the Chatanika River, lots of bears down there and I never saw a grizzly in 5 years of baiting there either.
