Hunting in NW Alaska
Posted by northwestalska on May 04 2006
I donít disagree with most of what you are saying avid. I know that I add to the influx of hunters to this region and that is why I self limit the number of hunting clients that I work with each year. Hunting trips account to about 15-20% of my clients. Most of my business is with floaters and fisherman. Every client that I work with has to put up with my soap box about being ethical hunters and respecting the land we are in.

Nowhere have I ever stated that you should not come up here and enjoy this country! Nowhere! Respect is the key word here.

Later in this string is an argument about the amount of money staying the local economy. Get real! One night in the hotel at $ 150 and a meal at the Bison Street Cafť does not amount to mush. All of the fees get on a plane Oct 1st and flyís back where it came from. Yes Crowley makes $ bit that does not stay up here either. I donít know the answer guys but I hope to be apart of the discussion that solves the problem!

I respect your opinion! All of us who are democrats believe that there is room for more than one answer to any given question, even yours!
