bear rug
Posted by geoff156 on May 02 2006
Was wondering if there were any tips out there for keeping a bear rug from deteriorating what should be done to it to keep it cleaned etc. I dust mine often and swab the nose and eyes with qtips to keep it clean of dust but have noticed that the paws and some of the hide under the hair is starting to become brittle. What cleaning products can I use to help keep it in better shape? Someone told me to use windex on the fur. I have it hung up high on a wall so it gets kind of hot up there in the summer time. Could the heat and dry air be damageing the hide? Is there a life span on rugs do they eventually break down. Have had mine for about 7 yrs.
Anyone have any tips?
