I agree with Marc (imagine that... after all, he DID try to run me over in the Wiggymobile at the Sportsman Show a coupla weeks ago).  If your guide is saying bring rubber knee-highs, you should find one that works for you.  If not, let him know your limitations and give him a chance to come up with alternatives.  He knows his area; we don't.  Therefore, he's in the best position to make recommendations that will work on that particular chunk of Alaska.
