WACH and foot wear
Posted by northwestalska on Apr 26 2006
Its good that you are looking ahead and asking questions from those  who have been there or those of us who live here. I keep a pair of hip waders in my camp/boat for when you need them but they suck to hike in. I use a pair of neoprene extra tuff boots for my day-to-day hiking. You will do a lot of hiking and it is very wet in many places up here. The Extra Tuff boots are warm and stay dry up to your knees and I find them a good fit for hiking on many surfaces.

Your best way to hunt this country is a float hunt as you will be able to cover many miles on a 7-10 day hunt. Too many guys go home empty handed because their spike camp was in the wrong place and the animals followed a different path. A float hunt will allow you to move as you want and stop and hike/hunt when you want, great option.

Keep up your research and you will have a great hunt! Check us out at:
