If you know where your going to be hunting, here's my suggestion. Eastern unit 23 has alot of black bears. So if your going to be on the upper part of the Noatak, Kobuk, or Selawik, get a black bear tag. Wolves are everywhere so each of your party should have a wolf tag. It would be disappointing to have the only guy in camp with a wolf tag not be present for a wolf shot.
Your all non res, right? So you can't shoot grizzlies. I would recommend that each member of your party apply for a moose tag when the draw period application opens for 07. Maybe one of you will get a tag and could harvest a moose. Lotta meat to deal with tho.
Your a long way from needing to purchase tags tho. Don't be spending money before you need to.
