I've done it......
Posted by AKmud on Apr 25 2006
I'll have to admit...I've leave my moose camp up for nearly the entire season.  Partly to let other people stumbling into the area that there is someone actively hunting and also so I don't have to haul my gear in every weekend.  I hunt the same area (and have for 25 years now)on foot and don't bring a wheeler into the picture until I have an animal down.  Therefore I don't want to haul my camp in every time and set it up just to take it down when I leave.  I am only able to hunt the area on my weekends and I always take my $600 sleeping bag out with me so there is very little gear/signs of activity around the camp.  Some people stumbling across my camp during the week could view it as a "dummy" camp, but it is very much in use.

my $.02
