Peninsula Brownie
Posted by AlaskaCub on Apr 24 2006
Alright men, I need some help making a last minute decision . I am flying into the Pacific side of the Peninsula in 2 weeks for a brown bear hunt. We are going in on a Turbine Beaver so weight is not an issue, I have a 10ft achilles raft with a 5 hp Evinrude that I am debating taking. I know in my gut I will regret not taking it so I thought I would ask for some last minute opinions. We are concerned with the whole tidal flat issue and the raft getting chewed up on the beach at night and all that good stuff.Looking for opinions on good and bad of taking the raft, any help would be appreciated, got some feedback a few months back but looking for additional advice.
