hunting ethics
Posted by onthefrinj on Apr 22 2006
Legal is what you read in the regs. Ethical is what you learn from your parent or mentor. Legal is shooting at a regulation moose. ethical is using the right caliber and taking only a clear killing  shot. Legal is easy to enforce. ethical is almost impossible to enforce. its something that needs to be instilled at an early age. young people that see their mentor gut shoot an animal, with a under caliber rifle, from 350 yards, may grow up to be legal hunters, but are not going to grow up to be ethical hunters.
