Hang caribou meat?
Posted by turner1978 on Apr 19 2006
I looked in the archives and found a post about hanging meat in the tundra. But it didn't say anything about how to hang your caribou meat if there aren't any trees around. I will be going on a drop hunt in the mulchatna river area and there is a good chance that we won't have any trees around to hang the quarters from (not sure). What do you guys do in this situation? Remember that we can only take 100 lbs of gear per person do to small air plane. Thanks a lot for the info.
