It's true!
Posted by Michael Strahan on Apr 05 2006
AK,

Apparently this creature was spotted near Delta Junction around the first of April this year.  This just goes to show what can happen when you introduce non-native species into an area that already has a healthy wildlife population.  The federal government has it right; we should wean ourselves off of the need to introduce other species into these areas.  See what we end up with when we mess with nature?

You can read the whole story at this link:

I would be interested in hearing if there have been other sightings in the area.

Regards,

-Mike
