Anyone know of the Kugururok River.

I am planning a trip on the Kugururok River up in the Noatak Preserve and want to know if anyone has been there. I am curious what the water is like as I will be taking my son along. He is only 9 years old and I dont want to get in over my head. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
