Best bet would be to start with the archives.  Last year was my first year up there.  I spent several months going over the archives and saving info i thought was important.  It gave me a good overall picture of things up there. There is a LOT of info in the archives.  We went a little later in August towards the end and did most of our hunting about 10 miles north of happy valley.  We took our caribou about 1 mile off the road.  The bugs were incredible.  As far as other hunters we saw 12 different hunting groups over the 7 days we were up there.  The only hunters we talked to that were hunting past the 5 miles were guys who were being transported via airboat up the river.  They came back with nice bou but also paid about 800 per person.  On our way back we saw two nice bulls crossing the road at Galbrith lake.
