Bipod
Posted by Boss Gobbler on Mar 30 2006
Fish Doc,

My buddy took home a 61 in set if moose antlers as luggage.  He only had one bag of real luggage.  He called 3 different times before he got the answer he was looking for regarding transport on the plane.  The antler tips must be covered and so must the skull. We cleaned the skull good and wrapped it in a garbage bag, then a towel and covered it in duck tape.  Then placed cardboard over the points and taped them down.  All said and done, the antlers were accepted no questions and cost was $100.  I recently shipped audad horns home from texas as extra luggage and paid the extra fees.  They arrived safe and in good condition..  Meat is another matter...M. Strahan had some good suggestions.

good luck
