Lowa Tibets
Posted by akfishinguy on Mar 29 2006
Bill,
I tried a couple different sizes of the Cabelas Alaska boots by Meindel.  Tried the wide sizes and everything fit good except for the heel, which would slip all over the place. Especially when going up or down. Rest of the boot felt fine though, but the slippage was pretty bad, so sent them back.  Then tried a pair of Lowa Tibet WXL's and the fit for me was perfect.  The sole on the Lowa's isn't quite as stiff as the Meindels which is good since I felt the Meindel sole was a little too stiff for what I wanted, but they do still offer great support.
