I'll qualify why this shot is not unreasonable or unethical for me.
Much shootin' practice with 338WM & 375HH. About 400 rounds per year brings confidence in your rifle and ammo. You will know what will happen before you pull the trigger on game. Also only take shots within your practice parameters. If you practice shooting out to 200 yds, limit your shots at game to not much beyond that distance.
If your not practicing shooting moving targets, don't take shots at moving game. Nothing instills shooting confidence like lots of shootin'. Some might think it boring, but I also believe in having all my guns with the same action style. Different calibers but all loads chosen with similar trajectory patterns through the ranges intended to shoot.
