I've recently done some tree stand hunting using an angled scope.  Sitting in a tree stand does not allow a lot of movement.  I found that with a scope on 20-30 power and tied off with a cord on a branch above me I can tip the scope sideways and the angle lets me have almost a 360 degree view.  I can face 90 degrees and the angled scope is actually viewing the area behind me.

This could never be done with a staight scope.  Just another advantage of the angle that I didn't think of until I took it up the tree.
